Kotono Morisaki
Nationally Licensed Psychologist / Certified Clinical Psychologist

I strive to be a psychologist who walks alongside each child’s heart—and grows with them.
I studied and trained primarily in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) throughout my undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies.
I have a strong interest in working with young children—especially those in preschool and early elementary years—and have supported many children through individualized therapy and developmental support.
Currently, as a psychologist, I focus on gently understanding the “unspoken emotions” of children and sharing those insights with their parents in a kind and accessible way.
Through psychological support, my aim is to help both children and adults build relationships where they feel free to be their authentic selves.

I want to gently support children—without overlooking their subtle signs.
After completing graduate school, I worked at a psychosomatic and psychiatric clinic in Tokyo, where I was responsible for a wide range of tasks, including conducting psychological and developmental assessments, writing reports, and providing feedback to clients.
I have extensive experience interpreting the often invisible workings of the mind through various assessments such as the WAIS-IV, Tanaka-Binet Intelligence Scale, Baum Test, and YG Personality Inventory.
I’ve also supported children through school refusal interventions and ABA-based developmental therapy, working closely with children of diverse personalities and backgrounds.
At Cocoro Colors, I hope to draw on this field experience to gently support parents who wonder, “What is my child really feeling?”—and provide insights with care and empathy.
